CC stands for Carbon Copy. You use it when you want to send an email to more than one person at a time. Unlike when using BCC, the recipitents can see who else you sent it to. BCC stands for Back carbon copy. They originate from when people used typewriters and if you needed copies you put carbon paper behind the first and typed the letter.
